Tree Abstraction Cube

Channels of a lighter color form the tree trunk while a darker color represents leaves that adorn the branches in this one-of-a-kind paperweight / cube.  Choose your favorite color cube.

Each cube starts it's life as individual image layers, fired in a kiln, and then the individual layers are stacked on top of each other and kiln-cast in the mold. Once the cube is a fired into a solid form in the kiln, it is slowly cooled to room temperature in the kiln.  After demolding, the all of the edges are ground using specialized glass grinding equipment.  Each flat surface goes through up to six different steps of grinding and polishing to achieve the optical polished finish or placed back into the kiln to fire polish the sides at 1300F.

Each piece is unique and will vary slightly and is signed.
