Blue Ridge Mountain Crimson & Gold Fall

These glass sculptures are made up of several layers of kiln-fired glass that depict a transforming fall landscape in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Each layer is crafted separately, fired, and then stacked to create a single glass block. Afterward, the block undergoes cold working and is slumped over a form in a glass kiln. This slumping process results in an outward curved shape, which enhances the perception of depth in the landscape.
